01 Overview

An automated job discovery platform built to uncover remote roles directly from company career pages.

Hidden Jobs is an internal ConsultEvo product created to help job seekers find remote and remote-friendly opportunities that may never gain meaningful visibility on traditional job boards.

The platform continuously monitors company career pages and employer applicant tracking systems, collects available roles, structures the information into a centralized job database and publishes current opportunities through a searchable WordPress experience.

Each listing sends the job seeker directly to the employer’s original career-page posting rather than introducing another application intermediary.

The system combines automated data collection, structured job data, continuous cleanup, fast search and content-driven organic discovery into one largely autonomous job search platform.

02 The Challenge

Useful job opportunities were scattered across thousands of individual employer career pages.

Job seekers often depend on major job boards, but companies also publish roles directly through their own career pages and applicant tracking systems.

Discovering those opportunities manually requires repeatedly visiting employer websites, checking whether positions are still active and determining whether individual roles are remote, relevant and still accepting applications.

The technical challenge was equally important. As the dataset grew, the original Google Sheets implementation became too slow for reliable searching and synchronization. Airtable improved the structure but still introduced performance limitations as the number of jobs and automated updates increased.

The platform needed a faster data layer capable of supporting continuous collection, cleanup, classification and frontend search without slowing down as the database expanded.

03 The System

A career-page monitoring and job data pipeline connecting automated discovery, Supabase and WordPress.

Google Apps Script automation monitors employer career sources and applicant tracking systems, retrieves available roles and transforms the source information into a consistent job structure.

Job records are normalized before being synchronized into Supabase, including information such as employer, title, location, remote status, category and original application URL.

Supabase replaced earlier Google Sheets and Airtable implementations as the primary data platform because it provided significantly faster querying and a more reliable foundation for a growing automated dataset.

WordPress provides the public discovery layer. Job seekers can search by keyword, browse categories, sort opportunities and open each role directly on the employer’s original career page.

Scheduled automation also maintains the quality of the dataset by refreshing sources and removing outdated opportunities instead of allowing stale listings to accumulate indefinitely.

04 Results & Impact

A continuously refreshed remote job search platform requiring minimal manual maintenance.

Hidden Jobs turns thousands of distributed employer career pages into a searchable job discovery experience without requiring staff to manually collect and maintain individual listings.

The Supabase migration gives the platform a significantly faster and more scalable data foundation than the earlier spreadsheet and Airtable versions.

Automated collection and cleanup help keep the job database current, while WordPress turns the structured backend data into an accessible search experience for job seekers.

Users can discover roles by keyword or category and move directly from Hidden Jobs to the employer’s original application page.

The result is both a functioning public product and a practical demonstration of how ConsultEvo combines automation, structured data and web applications into a self-maintaining operational system.
